Watch this video to learn how to use a framing square to figure out the plumb and set cuts for your rafters. You can purchase metal stops that clip onto your framing square so once you have the angle you can turn your framing square into a jig. This is handy if you have a number of rafter cuts to make. Make sure to use the inside or the outside of the square to mark your measurements.
